Safe Travel Charter Bus Terms and Conditions

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENTS:
Safe Travel Transportation accepts deposits for confirmation of charter buses from groups, individuals and business. The requirement for a deposit is to secure a charter bus date(s) and time. Based on our quote for a charter bus, we require a 20% deposit. Deposits for day trip charters are accepted a minimum of 7 days in advance.
Final payments for charter services are due and payable at the time of departure for day trips. For trips over one day, full payment is required at least fifteen (15) days in advance of the date of departure of the charter (the "Charter Date") or at the time of booking depending on the date and type of order.

CANCELLATION:
The chartering party must notify Safe Travel Transportation of cancellations via fax, phone or email. There is no fee if the cancellation is made at least five (5) days before departure date for day trips. For cancellations made in 4 days or less, before departure of a day trip, you will forfeit the full amount of the deposit to Safe Travel Transportation.

For trips over one day you must cancel at least fifteen (15) days before departure date to avoid penalty. Any cancellations made within eight (8) to fourteen (14) days prior to departure will forfeit 50% of the total cost of the trip. Chartering Parties cancelling any service within seven (7) days of departure will forfeit the full amount of the trip to Safe Travel Transportation.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES:
A charter group that requests any change in service that results in more miles or hours than those specified on the charter service order, will incur an added charge for such additional services. Where alcohol may be involved, a deposit is required. Alcohol and other security deposits are subject to vary. Tolls, highway fees, parking fees, etc. will be separate and additional elements in the determination of any other additional charges. Safe Travel Transportation will notify the Charter group of any additional charges that may be expected to be incurred at the time of the original order. Any additional fees unforeseen prior to the departure of the charter are the responsibility of the chartering group.

EXTENDED DAY TRIPS:
The charter group is responsible for reserving and paying for a room for each driver. A complete itinerary is required for extended day trips at least two (2) weeks prior to departure and the final itinerary must be received at least one (1) week prior to departure. Prices are subject to change based on the final itinerary.

DRIVER HOURS:
The Federal Department of Transportation has adopted the following safety regulations that prohibit drivers to be on duty more than fifteen (15) hours per day, ten (10) of which are for driving (including a thirty (30) minute pre and post trip vehicle inspection). The driver must be given eight (8) consecutive hours off before resuming duties.

DAMAGES TO CHARTER EQUIPMENT:
The cost of repairing damage to charter equipment resulting from acts of members of the Charter group shall be charged to the chartering group and is payable as soon as such cost is determined.

OBJECTIONABLE PERSONS:
Safe Travel Transportation and its service providers reserve the right to refuse to transport persons under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, or who are, or are likely to become, objectionable to other persons or if the driver feels threatened in any way.

CONDUCT OF PASSENGERS:
Passengers shall not interfere with the Operator in the discharge of his/her duties or tamper with any apparatus or appliance on the charter equipment. Possession of firearms, explosives and fireworks (whether in baggage or on a person) are strictly forbidden on the motor coach.

UNUSUAL CLEANING:
In the event that the charter trip's activities require a greater than normal amount of time and material necessary to clean any and/all equipment properly upon its return to the garage, Safe Travel Transportation at its option, may require additional fees to cover costs for such additional cleaning time and costs of materials.
